Title: Art; Beauty; Constant; Zoooom
Unit for Points: A.B.C.-Z
Word Count: 100 x4
Characters: Goseki, Totsuka (and Ebi).
Notes: Ebi roadtrip to the beach! In my head, Goseki asked Koyama for Shige's camera, and Koyama totally just handed it over. :x
A: art
It's two-on-two (EXTREME) beach volleyball, Fumi-Hasshi Team versus Tottsukada. Tsukada's diving digs save Hashimoto's spikes time and again, and Kawai's tendency to get sand everywhere negates any advantage his raw enthusiasm might have given him over Totsuka.
Not that it really matters, since they 'aren't playing serious' (though when is a competition among juniors not serious?). Goseki, token scorer and referee, sits off to the side under a beach umbrella with Shige's stolenborrowed SLR.
Passing mothers give him strange looks, but all he says, smiling, is "My friends are good-looking, aren't they?" And it's not as if anybody can disagree.
B: beauty
"Did you get any good ones?" Totsuka asks, fishing the camera out on their way home. The sun has long set and Goseki cruises slow, taking the easy route back into Tokyo. The ride is quiet, the three in the back passed out, piled over each other, sun-stroked and happy. "By which I mean, did you remember to change the settings from black-and-white?"
"Please don't compare me to Shige," Goseki chuckles.
Totsuka smiles while browsing the images. He doesn't have an opinion about 'good' photography himself, but it doesn't require an artist's eye to appreciate frames so full of life.
C: constant
Totsuka hums, having reached the end of the memory card for the second time. They're still not home.
"Don't delete any," Goseki says mildly. He's not too fussed either way; there are hundreds of pictures.
"I'm hardly Tsuka-chan," Totsuka chuckles. He fiddles with the SLR. Flash off, long exposure, shutter… "More importantly, you're missing from your collection, Goseki-kun."
Goseki gives a sideways glance, a wry smile, before fixing his eyes back onto the night-time road as Totsuka raises the camera steadily to his eye.
(He calls the picture, Goseki lit ethereal by the moon and a passing car, The Unchangeling.)
Z: zoooom
Three days after their beach excursion, ABC-Z's dressing room is decorated with a mosaic of large prints: Hashimoto and Kawai's butt-naked race to the beach showers, and Tsukada losing the integrity of his board-shorts to a very excitable large dog among the blockbusters.
Collectively, Kismai congratulate Goseki on his skill, Yokoo going so far as to say Goseki should take over the photoSHIgenic column.
Goseki preens.
"I didn't see these?" Totsuka says.
"Two memory cards," Goseki smiles. "And before you ask, I have photos of you, too. I've merely kept them for blackmail because such rare things should be treasured."
