"Squish squish darling, squish squish"

I'm feeling short and frivolous this morning, so I hope this post matches my mood.

On the drive into work today, the gigglepot radio presenters were chatting about the last time they bawled at a movie - one of the macho presenters admitted to blubbering to 50 First Dates, another to Toy Story 3. Which got me thinking.

I don't cry a lot, especially at ( Read more... )

A powerhouse of a film. I haven't seen it in years but an amazing one!

I have to admit that I've never ever seen the original film...I'm truly a bad gay :(

I was a complete mess during the first 20 minutes of "Up!", and even after several viewings "Brian's Song" makes that happen too.

Oh my, yes the opener to Up! was stunning! I'd never seen animation deal with such sad life-moments so well and so emotionally.

Just a shame the talking dog, dumb bird and slap-worthy child ruined the rest of the movie for me...

Admittedly I've never seen Brian's Song.

"Brian's Song" is about the friendship between US football players Brian Piccolo and Gayle Sayers. My dad took me to see it when it was released, and I've seen it on TV a number of times since then.

You can watch the trailer here:

I am extremely easily moved to tears, I cry watching movies and TV all of the time. I'm unfortunately privileged to be a Pisces and our emotions run very deep :)

One movie that always makes me weep bad is a Japanese animated movie called Grave of the Fireflies. It is one of the saddest movies I have ever seen in my life. Without revealing too much of the plot, at one point a character dies and because of who it is and how they do they scene it is almost unbearable to watch. I don't think that I've ever watched that scene and not just broken out into uncontrolable sobbing.

I'm intrigued - I think I'll look that movie up :)

As for being Piscean, my younger brother is Pisces and I think he's incredibly unemotional...he gets annoyed at me very quickly, but that's pretty much it!

I own that movie. If we're ever in the same place at the same time, I'll make sure I have it so you can see me fall apart.

I have no problem tearing up in a movie. The last one I saw that got to me was probably Toy Story 3.

See, I'm hearing that Toy Story 3 is tugging everyone's heart strings!
We haven't seen it yet (it's showing on cable now) so don't know what it's about but I've heard the ending is a blubberfest...
