Hmmm, a new vocation for Clarkie?

Well, not likely - I've spent the last 14 years fooling people into thinking that I'm "a little bit good" at what I do already!

Anyways, I'm about to become a published photographer too! I had a nice surprise this morning after receiving an email through Flickr saying a couple of my photos of Sydney and the surrounds have been nominated for a ( Read more... )

I got hit up for permission to use my photos of Seattle I took some time ago. It was welcome attention. A travel book group was interested in some of photos of Seattle 2007.

Awesome pictures here by Melissa!

Hey Joe - those pics of Seattle are great :) Could be the same travel group - as you say, it's a nice bit of feedback (a pat on the back if you like :))

Thanks for the compliment - I'll duly pass it along - I think she could do with some confidence in her own abilities.

Samson is just adorable. I think he needs to become Callie's online boyfriend. They'd make cute kittens (if immaculate kitty conception was possible - given their distance and lack of reproductory parts).

Lol, well I AM biased but he is a very handsome young man lol. This was taken 5mths ago so he's grown and is quite a good looking fella ;) He'll be pleased to hear he has an arranged (virtual) girlfriend cos he gets nothing but mothering and nagging from his sister (thank god) ;D

Thank you :) Family and friends saying so is one thing but feedback from other people who have more experience should help her confidence :) She's 21 so still finding her feet but I (and I'm no expert) think she has a natural eye for photography. And it's her passion. Thanks :) *hugs*

Well tell her to keep doing what she's doing. Continue to take pictures. and ask for critique. Be open to it. It took me a long time to be accepting of that, but you slowly learn.

congratulations!

I had one flickr picture requested once, but I think it was for a group, nothing official.

Thanks :) Was a pleasant surprise in an otherwise dullish workday. Didn't think they were particularly great photos either lol
