How did you manage that???? I'm so jealous. I think I'm going to make an appointment to meet with the ped about it when he goes for his flu shot.

I'm not sure...he did get a Hep B vaccination yesterday, so maybe that helped him sleep a little longer...I enjoyed the sleep, but when I woke up I thought I would explode with breast milk...I fed him and then pumped another 5 oz!!! Then he ate 3 more times (shorter feedings...but still!) before 12:30!

I have a quick question for you...we're trying to begin to introduce a bottle of expressed breastmilk to Max...I have been reading in all of our newborn care information and can't find instructions on how to prepare the bottle of expressed breast milk...any advice?

The first time we gave him a bottle of EBM I pumped and Jon fed Joey while it was still warm. Now we just warm it under hot tap water. As far as nipples go, I bought special bottles (Second Nature) that work more like breastfeeding (baby has to suck the nipple to get milk). I probably didn't need to worry about it because Joey likes all things milky. :)

Goodluck!

Thanks for your advice...it's funny...Max likes all things milky, too...I ended up pumping about 2 oz. yesterday afternoon and just refrigerated it...then Chris warmed it up under warm tap water and he took the bottle okay...I'm sure we just need more practice...I have a feeling that Max isn't going to be too picky...he's a little pigglet!
