For the second night in a row the scrappy Twins pulled one out over the White Sox. When the Sox were in town last week their manager dubbed certain members of the Twins "piranas," the little guys at either end of our line-up just seem to get things done one way or another and end up helping win us games

Which is nice, since my Red Sox are in the tank. The Yankees are even losing right now, and we suck. I'm SO glad I was in Italy and France for the 5 game sweep.

Last night was so huge, the kind of game that propels you forward. We lose last night, then Carlos Silva probably gives up 18,000 runs in the first two innings. Winning, he might pitch 6 and give up only 4, which we can handle.

I felt your pain during that Red Sox/Yankees series.

Yeah, without the pressure to win the series we'll probably get the decent version of Silva today. I wouldn't be surprised if he did better than your prediction but I also am not counting on it.
