This is the first time in 14 years ...
I'm not attending Worldcon. But .. I'm not really missing it. I miss seeing friends who are there but on the whole I'm in a better place this year. -
Finally, some good news
Received a letter from the county re: 2007 Firestorm Recovery. They've settled with the Insurance company so they're no longer asking me for $18,000 for the "free" debris removal. -

Odd observation
I've just noticed that we've had really bad presidents since 1984, and we'll continue this for the foreseeable future. How Orwellian.
