Mine pulled me aside after Torah study last week and said, "I know this is something we need to have a much longer conversation about, but I think you're ready." :) (We made an appointment and had that conversation today, in fact!)

I'm envious... Not really, but it's exciting. I hope it happens for me eventually... I don't want to say "soon" because then I feel like it probably will NEVER happen. Life seems to do the reverse of what I'm trying for.

"If things continue to go this well I will feel very comfortable scheduling you for bet din and mikvah in early June, after Shavuot. E-mail me any dates around that time that are definitely bad or will probably not be suitable." (ie, when I'll be menstruating, I suspect).

I got asked a lot of questions.

And then, "Ok." And a big smile.
