Who'll Win Oscar's Glory?

Pun intended, btw.

Everyone loves No Country for Old Men. Well, mostly everyone. I do too. It's a great movie. I really like the premise it's built on. Tommy Lee Jones is amazing and Javier Bardem is going to win some gold Sunday.

Looking at this list of Oscar nominated films, however, nothing really jumps out as "WOW, THAT'S FUCKING AMAZING." All five contenders are great films. Some are heavyweights (like There Will be Blood and No Country), some had a shit-load of buzz,  but don't any more (Atonement) and some are dark horses (Juno and Michael Clayton).

My guess, the war for Best Picture is between Blood and No Country, with No Country taking the Oscar.

But if I had to give out Oscar's top honor, I'd do it like this and in this order...

1) Michael Clayton
2) No Country for Old Men
3) Juno
4) There Will Be Blood
5) Atonement

Of course, this is a lot different from what I had after the Globes and before the Oscar nods came out. Also, I've seen all the movies. They're all good. So no bitching for me putting Atonement at the end.

My real picks:

Picture: No Country for Old Men
Director: The Coen Brothers
Adapted Screenplay: No Country for Old Men
Original Screenplay: Michael Clayton
Actor: Daniel Day-Lewis (There Will Be Blood)
Supporting Actor: Javier Bardem (No Country)
Actress: Marion Corillard (La Vie en Rose)
Supporting Actress: Tilda Swinton (Michael Clayton)
Best Score: Dario Marianelli (Atonement)
Best Animated: Ratatouille
