Samiana Jones and the Drive Click of Doom

Sunday, Paula and I went to visit Silas and the soon-to-be-less-gravid Sami. I wish I had 1/10th the neatness and organizational skills as Sami. Their apartment is a neatly organized baby care station, whilst ours looks like a Baby's 'R' Us exploded in our living room. But then again, they don't have the baby to totally eat up their schedules

I was getting that drive clicking for a while last year. I was backing up weekly, but couldn't afford to just fix it. I was going on the "it can last like this for a few months" (because it's from 2001 and I had decided to upgrade even before it exhibited any problems). I even recorded demos while it was clicking.

However, it died very shortly after that recording, and that machine would be superfine if only I could get a hold of a new hard drive. There's no need to replace a perfectly good laptop, especially if it's acting as a desktop replacement. I say just get a new drive. Some day I'll get a new drive for my old one so it can do more than just count down to the new year.
