Samiana Jones and the Drive Click of Doom

Sunday, Paula and I went to visit Silas and the soon-to-be-less-gravid Sami. I wish I had 1/10th the neatness and organizational skills as Sami. Their apartment is a neatly organized baby care station, whilst ours looks like a Baby's 'R' Us exploded in our living room. But then again, they don't have the baby to totally eat up their schedules and... and... Oh, who am I kidding? My place has always been a mess...

Naturally, we talked nearly exclusively about baby stuff. Sami and Silas got to see how their new baby stuff would work with an actual baby, and Paula and I got to keep a few of their duplicate baby items. And, oh yeah, Benjamin was just being his own cute little self, and Sami and Silas naturally fell madly in love with him, as all people do.

It will be so exciting when Benjamin has a playmate...

After a while, Paula and I left to grab something to eat. We stopped at a burger joint at the subway station at Ditmars, and were universally disappointed by their hamburgers.

Then, when I got home, I was using my computer, when I heard an ominous click-click-click coming from the hard drive. Uh oh. Fortunately, I can still access all of my important stuff, so I burned everything to DVDs. But I'm going to have to go out and replace my machine sooner than I'd anticipated. I'm not sure what I should replace it with.

I don't use my laptop very much as a laptop... It usually stays on my desk at home. So perhaps I should just get that "media center" Mac Mini I'd planned on getting soon anyway. On the other hand, I do use my laptop as a laptop sometimes, and it's incredibly useful, especially when I'm on call at work. What to do, what to do...
