In Portland

I arrived in Portland earlier today. Portland's as nice and pretty as I remembered. It was one of the most tiring days I've experienced in a long time though. I know I should be happy right now, but it's just the opposite. I am glad to have this opportunity to be on my own, but I never imagined that I'd have such a tough time coping away from home ( Read more... )

Aww, I'm sorry to hear that you aren't enjoying yourself. :( I'm sure things will improve as time passes, though. You'll start classes and meet new people and familiarize yourself with the city and pretty soon you'll be having so much fun that you'll forget all about poor Phai-chan who misses you! XD

In all seriousness though, Yunie-chan's a wonderful person and I'm sure she'll make friends and stop missing home quite so much. ^^

Ganbatte~ Do your best!

I hope so too. But I'm sure Phai-chan is right. It's true though I miss Phai-chan lots! Everytime I hear Doctor Who mentioned I think, "Oh Phai-chan is obsessed with that show." XD I hope Phai-chan is having lots of fun in France too!

Aww! Thanks! Being home sick just sucks.

Isn't Phai-chan always right? XD

Phai-chan is having fun in France, but like you, she's sort of missing home and friends and stuff. And it's difficult to take classes taught in French! Phai-chan's brain is going to explode from language overload before long.

True! :D

Yeah I can't imagine. Oh know! That would be bad. I hope that Phai-chan will be able to continue to have fun.

Poor Yunie-chan! *hugs* I'm sure things will get better soon. It always takes a while to adjust to a big change like this, but once you get settled, things will get easier--and once classes start, you'll be busy and that always helps.

Thanks Chrissy-chan! You're right, it is a big adjustment and keeping busy will probably help. : )

I know getting involved with any school activities helped me enjoy my time at Simpson more and get more adjusted there, and it's a good way to meet people.

Yeah funny you should mention that because I actually just signed up for the Anime club. So hopefully it'll be worth it.
