Today I dropped off my entry to the University Press for the T.S. Eliot Prize for Poetry. That's three years of collected poetry, 62 pieces, to be precise, many of them having seen multiple drafts. My Grandpa has been in the hospital having heart surgery, and what was supposed to be an outpatient procedure has turned out to require a lot more hospital time and more work to fix blockages. Today, my joints hurt. Specifically, the area connecting my feet to my legs (not the ankle, but the front of my feet) and my left shoulder, but most anywhere else too. That's not a side effect of my meds, so I'm not entirely sure. (Muscle pains are a bad sign, say the meds, but I don't think these are muscle pains) Rather major indigestion, too ( Read more... )
