Romanian. I am told by Romanian speakers that it is the closest living language to Latin, and if you look at the text on that site, you can see it. I find trying to read Romanian fascinating: it's like you're reading something when you've forgotten eighty percent of what you know about reading. There are tantalizing glimpses of clarity - I can almost read some sentences. "un univers alternativ în care Creatorul a construit un Sistem Solar mecanic, iar planetele şi sateliţii se învîrt pe nişte orbite din alamă", for example, but no more. It's like trying to read through a window shrouded with the dirt of years.

Also Google thinks it is Romanian. Interestingly, Google Translate does a pretty good job with Romanian, I suspect because it is easier to translate into English than, say, Russian.

I really want to believe that this upcoming election will go Obama's way, and the articles you are posting make it look that way (I suppose I'd have to find an entertaining conservative blogger to get the links to commentators who say otherwise), but I have this horrible feeling that Romney could shoot himself in the foot a dozen more times, and the election would still be close.

Just as important as a Romney loss is also the race for house and senate seats. If congress retains the same obdurate make up of Republicans who only want Obama out, and who are not actually interested if figuring ways to make the country work, we'll have four more years of brinksmanship and posturing.
