Well the strike is going ahead, so that means that Grangemouth, which I have now found out is the ONLY oil refinery in Scotland, is going to close for 2 days, which will cause massive petrol shortages. Add to that people panic buying and we have petrol at £1.30 a litre (which is about $3.00). No offence here, but I want to shout at the US people

The housing market here is in trouble as well, very few people can afford a house in Edinburgh, and so we have people communiting 30 miles a day to come into work..:*(

The price of petrol here is so high because 80% of it is tax, add to that the other tax's and it feels like we are just sinking.

*twich* The strike is going to last two days, the main problem is people are panic buying which causes the for-courts to dry up and since they don't have deliveries every day they are running out!
