Whee... we just spent big bucks on new appliances tonight. Of course, they will sit in their boxes for awhile. We would have waited, but Lowe's was clearing out last year's GE Profile models.

yay for new appliances! I am still working on the kitchen...have to grout the backsplash. But now I've got a sink and a new GE profile down draft smooth top range. I'll post photos when I finish. I still have to paint cabinets...I'm debating on painting them black. My granite counterop is this wild gold, tan, with black and gray specks....my applicances are black, I think black cabinets would look good. What do you think?

Hmm, I don't know. What colors are your walls/backsplash?

We are going with a lighter color for our cabinets. We have medium-dark wood cabinets now, but we're going with lighter colors in hopes it makes the room feel bigger. Our kitchen is a galley kitchen...

Walls are gonna be a dark brown and the backsplash is tumbled marble in a dark brown/dark gray color. My kitchen is also a galley kitchen... Right now I've got orange wallpaper....ew 80s!

Yes, we got one of those. It was either that or gas, and I didn't feel like paying to get the gas line extended over to the kitchen.

Hopefully the repair guy just does more GE repairs simply because there are more of them out there.
