I had an incredible brunch in downtown Vancouver today with the girlfriends. We hadn't seen each other for a while due to sickness/schedules/overseas travel so it was lovely to catch up. We dined at
The Elbow Room on Davie Street. A small cafe as famous for it's simple and declicious food as it is for it's no nonsense

That brunch looks delicious! It also looks huge - I'm pretty sure I would have had to make a donation ;)

ahaha oh my god it's so funny you should mention that about the size of the meal! One of my girlfriends had this: "Two large scrambled eggs, sauteed mushrooms, red and green bell peppers, green onion and bacon on a onion cheese bagel. Topped with melted cheddar cheese."
And she got like, two thirds the way through and put her knife and fork down. We then reminded her she would have to donate to the charity....SHE THEN FORCED THE REST OF IT DOWN AND WE ALL MADE COMPLAINY ACHEY NOISES AS WE WINDOW SHOPPED AFTERWARD. Dude having to eat it all or give to charity is also really dangerous ('specially if you're poor like us!)
Also thank you for your other comment ;-P

I knew that a Deep Fried Mars Bar hailed from Scotland but I'd never had the chance to try one and was all, "hell yeah!" when I my friend mentioned it. Eurgh. Just Eurgh. I guess I can tick that off the bucket list now. Wait does this give me automatic citizenship to Scotland? I shoudl think so!
Burger and Sundae FTW! I knew I loved you for more than just your LJ ramblings :-)
awww god, Merlin! My bloody roommate started watching it on Netflix and I started watching it over her shoulder...I have a weakness for slightly over the top BBC productions....which reminds me I should catch up on Doctor Who.
And thank you *blush*

oh man, it was so good. I am dying now but god, it was so so good :DDD
hahah I know, BBC is so bad it's good. and honestly Merlin reminds me so much of the Eagle, it's like one is the fanfic of another. And there are sticky-outy ears in both LOLOLOL

dude the ears! (but also his cheekbones that I swear could carve through rubber tyres). I have a thing now for Bradley...
I've been over at the Merlin kink meme most of the morning (but I DID get the groceries done so yah!) - that fandom has lots of H/C so I'm VERY happy.
But in other news OH MY GOD YOUR COMPUTER! I see that the worst is over but I had a small heart attack on your behalf when I read your post. Most of my work is backed up but I would SHIT BRICKS if my computer corrupted!

Awww thanks Bacha!!
Elbow Room cafe ftw. seriously. yum. We thankfully don't do brunch too often cause if we did I would be in trouble. It's my favourite meal of the day. If given the choice between a fruit bowl or maple syrup drenched pancakes I would choose the latter every time!
Arthur/Merlin has become my new Esca/Marcus. But for some reason I don't want them to have sex. In my fanfic trawling yesterday I just wanted to read about them being best friends who love each other! I then started listening to the DVD audio commentaries. oh Bradley. You have my heart!
