You know, I used to tell people who were pushy enough to enquire that I am a wonderful aunt and a good friend to the children of my friends, but that's because I can always give the little beggars back when I'm done with them. I think I would have made a competent mother, but I was never drawn to the role of Mom, EVER, and I'm glad I didn't reproduce because of any social pressure. I'm actually an excellent step-mother as well, but then I got them when they were 16 and 18 and had nothing whatsoever to do with the formative years.
