Last week I shared the good news that The Youngest and I will be participating in a local art show. This past weekend I got another piece of good news: The Youngest's sculpture has won a prize! He's so excited.
I love the sculpture. You have very talented children - they must get that from their mum ;).
I'm a veggie, so bear that in mind, but most of the things I've had off that list are alcoholic, lol. I recommend a dirty martini at the end of a very long day.
talented children I'm trying to expose them to the artistic side of life---dad covers sports and snarky comments on politics and history, lol.
I'm a veggie Sorry about all the meaty references...I grew up in a frugal immigrant-rooted family so very little of anything was wasted. The Hubby and I are actually trying to go more Veggie at the moment since we've given up red meat. :)
And speaking of alcoholic...I was very tempted to down a glass of wine at 7:30 this morning since getting my family out the door on time just about put me over the edge.
Oh, I've had one of those days to. The first words I heard this morning were Mr Bracknell saying, 'Oh no. Hell' as he looked out of the window, noted the monsoon-like conditions, in which he will standing, outside, all day. I suspect there may be wine later, lol.
With a shellfish allergy, I count at least 6 things that will kill me on this list. I'll have to save them for last to fullfill the requirements of the list ;)
Poutine makes me laugh. Everything else just sounds so exotic in comparison :D
Yikes, shellfish is a no-no then. I had a strange reaction to a whitefish last summer---my neck swelled up. I think I got a toxic one; it was from Lake Superior. No doubt those Canadians have been dumping things...
That sounded appetizing but this picture is a little strange looking. For some reason, the white stuff looks like marshmallows and the gravy looks like caramel---hell, it's dessert!
Sort of...not as sweet as our ice cream. The funniest ice cream episode we had there was when we stopped to get ice cream in cones. It appeared promising---it looked like alternate swirls of vanilla and chocolate and it was huge, about 6 inches above the cone---and it tasted like saffron. The kids were like, "What the...
He's really excited about it (and it's a great boost to his self-esteem)!
Huevos rancheros Even though I know what this is I could not remember eating it...I must not have eaten out for breakfast, lol. I think I've tried just about everything else on the Tex-Mex menu---and I dated a Hispanic boy all through high school who taught me how to make tamales. :)

It's mainly a Quebec thing, but you can get it everywhere else in the country.
It's french fries, gravy and cheese. Completely disgusting, and totally awesome all at the same time :D

There has to be a mistake. You've never had Huevos rancheros? Do you dislike eggs?
