Robert B. Parker

One of my favorite mystery writers, Robert B. Parker, passed away yesterday. I'm still in shock. He was only 77. (Yes, I know the only thing seems like a strange thing to say, but the older I get, the younger 77 seems.) I saw that yesterday and may have wailed "NO!" at the computer. :( I've never read his Spencer series, but I'm a fan of Appaloosa and its sequels.

I loved the Spenser series, both the books and the tv show. I was happy when Viggo accepted to make Appaloosa.

Thanks for this - I hadn't seen the news. I've read Appaloosa so many times, my copy is falling apart . . .

He died the way he most likely would have liked to...at his desk, writing. What a wonderful talent this man was!

And I know what you mean about him ONLY being 77. I'm 57 and 77 doesn't seem all that old to me (anymore!).
