The script was awful, the editing was awful, the things that were clearly the director's decisions were awful, and the acting was very well done, considering all the awful they had to deal with.
Clearly I was disappointed :-/ If they had a good script that strayed from the book, that would be one thing. I could still enjoy that. This... not so much.
I agree. There were times in the movie that made me happy, like the baseball scene and when Edward tells Bella that he's taking her to meet the family, but others like the cafeteria scene where they talk about her theories, the dialogue was stiff and awkward
( ... )
I totally agree. I really thought they butchered the scripted and the relationship between Edward/Bella - especially when the whole movie was focused on them, you'd expect something better out of it.
Exactly. I don't see any reason why this film shouldn't have been as good as the book, especially since Stephanie was involved in the making of it.
Looking back on it though, I kind of want to see it again, just because I was watching it with a critical eye, I didn't get the full impact of the movie, I think I cheated it out of some of it's merit.

I think I was focused more on Bella and Edward's funny facial expression when he was sucking the venom outta her. XD
