I agree that I enjoyed it overall, but definitely wished there was more J/A.
I thought Jackson was awesome. With the exception of maybe Robert, I think he did the best with his part. Two of the people I went with said they thought he was one of the best facial actors they'd ever seen. I was thrilled when they said that and so proud for Jackson. Honestly, I was a nervous wreck for him and Ashley and was terrified that they wouldn't be as good as I was hoping. But they were!
Ashley wasn't as strong in her part, but I still think she did very well. Physically, she's perfect and she even somehow managed to make her voice more high-pitched and "tinkly" sounding. lol. As for her performance, that will get better with time, obviously. She was fantastic, given that this was her first major role, though.
Some of my favorite scenes:
- The entrance, where Jasper twirls her. That was perfect. It epitomized the Jasper/Alice relationship in one quick scene.
- All the PDA! Geez, I thought Ashley said they didn't touch, but I don't think they were in one scene together where they weren't all over each other. My particular favorites were in the cafeteria, where she was leaning back into him and he had his arm around her chest, and in the car when they held hands.
- Jackson's facials, as I previously mentioned. Particularly, after Edward saved Bella and Jasper looked almost murderous. Like, I swear he even moved forward, like he was going to go take care of her right then and there. I definitely think Midnight Sun strongly influenced that shot.
- The baseball scene and Jacksper's extreme hotness. Like, wow. Even my sister, who doesn't get my Jacksper infatuation, turned to me and was like, "Whoa, he is smokin' hot." And I'm like, "This is what I've been saying for months."
*Non-JA related note: How awesome was Rosalie in this scene, when she stood up and absolutely glared at Bella and got in her face? Nikki did really well with her part, as well.
- Alice killing James. Even though they didn't mention her history with James, I felt like that was a moment of vindication for her, that fans of the book would get and appreciate. I know that I totally love the fact that she was the one to kill him.
- Jasper's gleeful laughing at burning James. So in character.
I think that's all for now. I'll add more as I think of it.

I think I was focused more on Bella and Edward's funny facial expression when he was sucking the venom outta her. XD
