Check in for the holiday

Kat and I rode up to Etown yesterday and are here for Christmas. We had the gift exchange with my parents tonight, who spoiled us. Tomorrow we'll go to my cousin's for Christmas. This will be the first time in my life that Christmas will be somewhere other than my grandmother's (they had it there even when I was having those two years in hell

I'm just curious how many gallons of toxic chemicals it takes to make your prints, that's all.

It's ok, Jason. I'm pretty sure he puts his brother down about the whole film-camera thing too. :D

No, as far as I know my brother is all digital excepting a large format camera.

Whoops, shows what I know. :) But hey, without film, we wouldn't have digital cameras. ;)

As a scientist and teacher, it does bother me to have to use all the chemicals to process film.

But as a photographer, and as a practical person, I still prefer film. The picture quality is just better...crisper, better colors, etc. And bear in mind that digital media is still subject to physical destruction just like film...but negatives/prints can't crash or get corrupted.
