Kat and I rode up to Etown yesterday and are here for Christmas. We had the gift exchange with my parents tonight, who spoiled us. Tomorrow we'll go to my cousin's for Christmas. This will be the first time in my life that Christmas will be somewhere other than my grandmother's (they had it there even when I was having those two years in hell ( Read more... )

School was canceled on Friday so people could ride up to the semifinal game in Louisville and not have to speed. Five buses came up, bringing about 300 or more of our fans to Central's stadium.

Kat and I rode up on our own instead of chaperoning one of the buses this time, since we were seeing Eugenie Scott speak at UofL on how to better teach ( Read more... )

In Etown at the parents' house. Mom's got a permanent dialysis schedule now, and her cough is better, although not all the way. She has a lot more energy and is eating a lot better. Being able to see the improvement it's given her calms me down a lot. Still, 4 hours is a long time to be stuck somewhere unable to move. Better than the alternative, I ( Read more... )

Still not a lot of energy, but am doing better, for the most part...feels like I'm getting over a bad cold at this point. Looking forward to winter break to get rested up, and being able to have a couple weeks off and be able to ENJOY it.
