That does sound like a better way to help the economy, but fat chance we'll ever see any wage increases.

And of course they think that. That's what Fox News has been spewing out constantly.. Just a way to distract us by trying to blame the poor/unfortunate for our country's problems.

Is it AHL? Let me know what you thought of it. :D

Wish I lived further up north, I would love to play some hockey. :c

Did you get any pics of you taking the shot? Ahahah, I'd love to see how big the stick looks on you. :p

Awww, you're too kind, Cora~ But yeah, they charge out the ass for jerseys. :c

$17 an hour for cashiering? Daaaaamn. I'm still never going to go back to retail. Two and a half years was way too much. We don't have any Costco's over here. :c

Jason, believe me when I say I know that feel.

I've found the best way to deal with these things is selfishness. You're not a selfish person, but selfishness can save you from these feelings. There are things that are in your control, and there are things that are outside. You need to let those that are outside go, emotionally.

Consider the world, and your country. The state of politics and the wealth gap is abysmal. There is nothing you can do about this. There is very little you can do to educate the masses, and convince those who are ignorant. Any emotional effort you expend on these issues is wasted, because there really is nothing you can do. Instead, focus on what you can do. What you do have control over is your own life. Think about what you need to do to rise above these issues ( ... )

"There is very little you can do to educate the masses, and convince those who are ignorant." That really hit home, ugh. :(

I'll make sure I take your advice on relationships, but I don't expect anything to happen any time soon.

But yes, it's true that having money means more power. I guess I'm proactive, I get lots of compliments from my coworkers about having that ability. I don't feel like I'm doing anything special.. It kind of feels like I'm on autopilot.

What's the point of grad schools anyway? I've been told they're useless.

And yeah, I realized that a few years ago. I'm glad to be making steps toward my career.

More money for the graduate, honestly. Depending on degree of study, of course.

In my field in particular, I can go back to school after I graduate with a bachelor's and work a bit,and get a master's in business administration or just a master's in electrical engineering, and I can earn quite a chunk more cash with the right job.
