2 Cups of Tea

May 29, 2011 20:19

Well, summer is just around the corner! I just wanted to tell all of you who are graduating this year that it has been an honour being your teacher, and your friend. I will miss each and every one of you, even those who are not in my class. I wish all of you the best at whatever you decide to do after school, and I am here if you need guidance, or ( Read more... )

The hot springs, huh? I might have to find one to soak in myself. This year has been... something else, for sure.

It has been something else indeed! But in a good way, I think. I certainly have no regrets.

And I would certainly be happy to have you along, if you would like to join me!

I wouldn't mind that one bit, Professor Iroh, sir. I've not much to do this summer anyway.

Excellent! I will make reservations soon, then. How does a weekend in mid-July sound to you?

Did...I really do that bad on the last pop quiz?

Oh, no, not at all! You actually did quite well. What I would like to discuss isn't school related.

Ah, I'll be sure to remind all members of the Cooking Club to tidy everything away before the break starts. Thank you again for allowing the club to use the classroom Professor. [Since they need to use a lot of the equipment and cookbooks kept in there.]

That would be lovely, but you all don't have to do that. It's my pleasure to let you do it, and it is for your enjoyment. I wouldn't sully that enjoyment by also making you clean it.

It's no trouble. It's only fair we leave the classroom as neatly as we found it. Thankfully most members do take the time to clean all the dishes they use and put ingredients away.

I very much appreciate your willingness to give back so thoroughly. Perhaps I can join you all come cleaning day? It would give me the chance to see you all one last time before summer holidays.

I don't know if I'll do much over the summer. I never really went out when I... before I started living with my aunt and uncle, so I don't really know what I'd spend the time on. I'm happy just spending time with my aunt and her family, though.

Umm, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to write that much. [People like Iroh are totally one of her biggest weaknesses.]

Oh yes, it was terribly inconvenient to have to read all of that, since I have no many papers to grade!

[Inkblots]

I'm kidding! Never be sorry for writing a long reply, it is a pleasure to read your thoughts and answers. And spending time with family is a lovely way to spend the summer, and I do hope you enjoy yourself!

[Way to almost give her a heart attack, Iroh.]

You... didn't mind? Umm, thank you.

Of course I didn't mind. As I said, I rather enjoy reading things such as what you wrote. It's always nice to gain a little insight on someone!

Probably catching up with my Muggle friends and playing soccer.

Muggle friends and Soccer, eh? That sounds very fun. Soccer is a muggle sport, yes? I'm a little rusty on my muggle sports knowledge, I'm afraid.

Yup! You basically kick a ball around a field. It's almost like Quidditch but no bludgers or snitches, and not played in the air. It's nothing compared to a Struggle match though.

Soccer sounds very fascinating! I would love to watch a match sometime. Would you mind telling me a bit more about Struggle, though? That sounds... violent.
