VVC 2010 vid recs

I am super late to this party, but I figure it's better late than never. As I've said before, the vids were outstanding across the board this year, so while I could rec almost every vid from the con, instead I'm going to focus on the ones that I know I'll be going back to rewatch multiple times in the future. I enjoyed many vids not in this list,

The vids were universally awesome this year and I love how they were spread out. No one single vidder or small group of vidders made the "stand out" vids or "the vids of the con". I really enjoyed not just the variety of vids but also the variety of vidders.

LOLZ. I kinda feel like the best description for True Blood's attitude towards gore would be to stick a metaphoric body in a blender. And then turn it on with the lid off.

Yeah, there was a ton of variety, yay! I usually come away from the con feeling that the vids I enjoyed most were by my friends, and this year I loved a lot of stuff by people I don't know. Hooray!

Also - yes - Lightning Field is probably in my top ten. I almost cried when that vid showed at Nearly New. It is so gorgeous and so layered with meaning and emotion. Brad understands Cara's character so well. GUH!

I haven't seen Skins, but now I want to. The vid seems full of quirky, smart, funny kids with real problems we can relate to, and I dig that
YES, YES, ALL OF THAT TIMES ONE BILLION. *is a crazy Skins fan* The kids are all amazing (even the ones you hate to begin with) and I want to give them cookies and tell them it will all be SO much better when they're older, and they're real and flawed and fucked up and keep doing and bad shit even though they mean well and generally are exactly how I remember my teenage years being.

Except don't watch season 4 because it jumps the shark SO BADLY it caused me much :(((((((((((((((((((((((((

This vid made me cry, which hot on the heels of YOUR vid, meant anoel and I were blubbering messes in the Challenge show (she's also a Skins fan). We kind of just huddled and sniffled a lot
