Jarod was in the kitchen, and following a few news stories on his encrypted laptop to see if they turned into anything or didn't ring quite true. This was complicated considerably by the cat napping on it. He had yet to notice anything out of the ordinary.

Becky wandered down, freshly awake, and waved to Jarod before going to make coffee.

Given that she also didn't normally talk much after waking up, she didn't notice anything either.

Jarod waved to Becky, but didn't say anything, engrossed in his reading once M went over to investigate what she was doing, freeing up the screen and keyboard.

Becky glared at M, and tried to say, "You keep away from the birdie."

And then paused as she realized no sound came out.

"The hell?" she tried, and then massaged her throat a little, frowning.

Parker walked in with her purchases from All & Sundries, Jack in tow. Seeing Jarod, she stalked over, dumped the bags, and wrapped an arm around his neck, giving him a kiss that was a good bit more intense than usual.

Jarod was surprised by the intensity, but didn't complain. Not that he could. He quirked an eyebrow at her, then waved hello to Jack.

Jack lifted a hand in greeting, then grinned and pointed at himself, lifting his eyebrows to ask 'What about me?'.

Jarod looked to Parker for help, but she either wasn't in the mood to do so or wasn't paying attention.

Instead, he shook his head no, and pointed at Parker, trying to look regretful.

GOB walked into the Sin after an annoying phone call and didn't shout, "I can't speak! I can say whatever the hell I want and you can't hear me!"
