I have had this terrible, bitter taste in my mouth ever since I started taking that handful of pills after transplant. It is always lingering but it is more noticeable when I eat or drink, particularly drink, sweet things or water. It is down right disgusting. This sounds similar to the way that some of the chemicals in toothpaste temporarily affect taste receptors. Do you have a pharmacist you can talk to? If the problem comes from the "inactive" ingredient in your meds there may be an alternate formulation of the compound or means of absorption that doesn't have the problem.
