Prednisone

I was warned in the hospital that the effects of the drug prednisone were not unlike being pregnant. Over the course of this week I have discovered why. I feel hungry all the time and have cravings for strange foods. When things don't go my way I have 50/50 chance of getting insanely pissed off or breaking down in tears. do you have to stay on the prednisone long?..ive been dog sitting my bosses dog latly and he is on it, and he has the same exact side effect..the poor thing just cant seem to eat enough..

For the rest of my life unless they figure out a new way to control organ rejection. The good news is that they are currently running a large number of studies on medical regiments that do just that. Thankfully though, the dosage is going to come down quite a lot over the next few weeks. Hopefully it won't be so bad when I get tapered down to the minimum.

i never knew that it was a drug used for preventing organ rejection..it also shrinks tumors..you know just in case.. if that makes you feel better..lol
