Day Fourteen

Cassandra was almost finished preparing some food for Janet and Sam. It was the fourteenth day and she, at least, was painfully aware of it. She had enjoyed this time she had spent with Janet..and Sam. If everything goes according to plan hopefully none of them will be alone in the future

After a small nod from Janet, the two begin to slowly move down the stairs. When they reach the bottom, Sam picks a booth near the door and lets Janet sit so she can watch.

Janet is having a hard time just sitting and waiting. After a few moments, she gets up and starts pacing.

She wouldn't calm down until she saw that Cassie was okay with her own eyes.

Cassandra walks over to the door expectantly.

Now only to wait.

Sam watches Janet and ever once in awhile steals a glance over at Cassandra.

After a moment there's a noise, and a flash of movement over Sam's shoulder.
She turns.
She watches.
