Pangolin Common Room, Thursday Afternoon

After a morning of Wilderness Survival, Janet came back to Pangolin, sat down on one of the more comfortable-looking chairs, and put her socks back on. She set her boots down in her alcove. At least she hadn't had as horrified a reaction as Parker, and looking at teal deer tracks with Al had been fun.

"Perhaps, but I'm thinking it's more likely to be the mundane things of everyday life. Fancy coming with?" Elizabeth asked, holding the camera to her eye and focusing it. "If we feed you enough coffee, would that help?" She glanced from the uniform to Janet and back to the uniform again, a smile spreading across her face.

"The mundane things of everyday life will be much easier to photograph. And sure. It sounds like fun." She grinned at Liz. "Enough coffee helps with anything." Janet blushed. "You're going to enjoy yourself entirely too much, aren't you?"

"We'll see what we can find," Elizabeth said, grinning back. "I am, yes. Can you blame me?"

"Can we check the room tomorrow while we're wandering? I think I forgot, um--" Janet paused briefly. "My notebook. In the room." She sighed and shook her head. "Yes. I can blame you. I probably can't justify it, but I can do it anyway."

"Of course. Can't have you being without your notebook," Elizabeth said, her eyes dancing. She just laughed again. "Thanks, hon. Love you too."

"We really can't. I'd be forlorn," said Janet, her gaze lingering on Liz's figure. She giggled and looked less cranky suddenly. "You're going to be there to watch me be humiliated, aren't you?"

Elizabeth spotted Janet's gaze and smiled, leaning down to place the camera on the floor beside her, before stretching across the chair. "So it's just the notebook you'll be needing from there?" she asked, her voice light. "I'm not going to watch you be humiliated. Going to watch you, yes. Humiliation, no."

"Oh, I don't know, I might look around and see if there's anything else I need," Janet said casually, staring at Liz. "You don't think it'll be humiliating? I'm not going to be perky."

"That's a good idea. I should probably do that too while I'm there," Elizabeth said, turning her head to smile across at Janet. "I'm sure you'll be great."

"I'm sure I'll find something that I've been missing," said Janet, leaning forward slightly. "At cheerleading? Maybe. But I refuse to enjoy it."

"Comforts you were used to back at the dorms which we lack here?" Elizabeth suggested. "You're very stubborn, you know."

"That's generally what I was thinking, yes," said Janet. "Are you just now noticing this?"

"We'll have to see what we can find tomorrow then, won't we?" Elizabeth grinned. "Of course not! I just felt it should be thrown out there."

"Do you think you can help me look?" asked Janet innocently. "And what purpose would mentioning that possibly serve?"

"Honey, you know I'll help you with just about anything," Elizabeth drawled. She shrugged. "I'm not sure. Not all words have purposes, y'know."

"I was kind of counting on that," said Janet, smiling. "With you they usually do. Which is why I asked."
