Thanks for reccing this; I'd been on my to-read list, but I hadn't read it because of the slavery & rape warnings. After reading your rec, I read it and really enjoyed it. :D

Happy to help! Sometimes I wish people would give more detail on their warnings in cases like these, where the story definitely warrants the warning, but the way it's written (and the fact that most of the really bad stuff is only vaguely implied) means that even people who are sensitive to the warning can enjoy the fic.
