You know it's hard for me to pick just one book to recommend! But I'm going with The Grand Sophy by Georgette Heyer:
Heyer is often called "the queen of Regency romance," and the title is well deserved. She put historical romance on the map as a genre! Her books are romantic, funny, very sweet, and (best of all!) historically accurate. When I need a comfort read, I always turn to a Heyer novel, and The Grand Sophy is my absolute favorite. It's about a young woman named Sophy who comes to live with her cousins the Rivenhalls and turns all their lives upside-down! I would highly recommend this to anyone who loves Jane Austen, historical fiction, or love stories.
