Best meme ever
I have discovered the Holy Grail of wasting time online: the week-long meme! Behold its awesomeness:

So here we are at Day 1: a song. I had such a hard time picking just one! Eventually I decided to go with one of my most recent obsessions, "Just Stay" by Kevin Devine. You can listen to it here at YouTube. I love the simplicity of the song as it begins with a single voice and an acoustic guitar. Yet the intensity builds as the song progresses, adding more instruments and harmonies until the heartbreaking climax around 2:18. This is definitely one of my favorite songs now, and I would recommend the whole album ("Put Your Ghosts to Rest") if you like low-key, contemplative pop.

In other news, I just finished reading The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society, and it was absolutely charming, enthralling, lovely, sweet, touching...I could go on, but I'll just stop and say I loved it. It might be going on my list of all-time favorites!
