Question - since you are a Lex Luthor fan, what do you think of the casting of Kevin Spacey in the new movie role? I'm not sure I'm sold on it, even though I'm sure he'll do a great job. I think my problem is I just wish he would stick to doing smaller movies. But that's just me.

Anyway, I was just curious.

Well, I was disappointed at first; I don't know who I would have picked to play Lex, but it wouldn't have been Kevin Spacey. Although, the more I think about it, I can see that as being a good casting choice. I haven't seen him in many movies (American Beauty, Seven, Bug's Life, & Austin Powers' Goldmember are the only ones I can name off the top of my head), but I think he'd do a good job. He has that subtle potential for evil that Lex Luthor embodies. I guess I'll just have to wait and see.

Yeah, I wouldn't have thought of him originally, but I know he could pull it off. Then again, since I'm not really a Superman fan, I wasn't thinking of anyone.

He made his career playing villains and jerks, and I think those have been his best roles (i.e. The Usual Suspects, Se7en, Swimming With Sharks, etc. Hell, he was even the bad guy in A Bug's Life). And while I'm glad that he's decided to do another dark role, I'm not sure this is the one he should have picked. But maybe that's just me being selfish, since I don't want him in big budget movies, especially one where he is playing such an identifiable character. And now I'm going to have to see the movie, even if I wasn't planning on it before.

Anyway, thanks for your opinion.

Hmm...hate to do this to you, but ~ fairegirl69 February 26 2005, 05:29:36 UTC
You said, "Is it possible to drop 50 lbs in three weeks?"

Well, the answer is NO. Note though, you CAN lose up to 24 lbs. in 7 1/2 weeks however. I am living proof thus far.

But, man, I can't wait for the 12th!!!!!!!!!!!! Go Pete! Go Pete! Go Pete!

I didn't seriously think I could. And now that I'm subbing for the entirety of the next two weeks, I won't have very much time to excercise anyway (they say the best time to do it is in the morning and I'm not hauling my ass out of bed at 6am to see a bunch of skinny people be limber on TV). I'm just not pleased with myself, especially now that my hair is uber-dark and not-as-red. Maybe I'm PMSing.
