I'm having a hard time letting go of my head canon that Blaine is a later in life child of Cooper's father with a second wife (not Cooper's mother). That Cooper and his mother moved elsewhere, and Mr Anderson, his new wife, and Blaine lived in the house Cooper grew up in. Blaine gets Cooper's old room, old toys, old home, and Dad. He resents Blaine for all this but Blaine is too young to understand. All he knows is the big brother he looks up to and who visits every other weekend and one school night every other week and for two weeks every summer, who he has to share "his" room with, isn't always very nice to him.

This would explain the shabby house, Cooper's possessiveness over these toys, etc. I know we all assumed Blaine's father had money, from Dalton and his Brooks Brothers wardrobe, but maybe things were tighter back ten years ago when Mr Anderson had to pay child support and alimony. The child support likely stopped some time ago when Cooper turned 18 (that'd be 8 or 9 years ago if Blaine is 10 years younger and is 17 now).

It's interesting that, in the last shot, Blaine and Cooper are being kept apart by the spotlight.

I think that Blaine was singing to Cooper from the start? I got that impression mainly because he's looking at him as he sings the beginning. Maybe he comes from a Kurt pep-talk and knew Cooper was already in the auditorium?

Also, the two look at each other for most of the song. Blaine's very confrontational in it. The only time Blaine stops looking at Cooper is when Cooper starts to sing. I wonder about that...

I'm really looking foward to all of this (love this song) but I'm so curious about the Kurt/Blaine scene in the beginning. To me - Kurt looks like he's giving Blaine a condescending smile. And the way that Blaine turns his head away before he starts to walk away makes me think that he's thinking "do you even know me?". So much said in .02 seconds - is it next Tuesday yet?
