That's excellent advice, thank you. I hope you have a smooth delivery soon! One thing to consider in pre-labor may be walking. Also, some women swear by a teaspoon of castor oil to jump-start labor. Personally, I'm counting down to the 28th. :-) Good luck!
Yes, I've been walking a lot recently, and I think it moves things along. But not fast enough.
We know a friend who says castor oil caused her last labor, but she took a lot of it. I asked my Dr. about it, and she said yes, castor oil works.... to cause severe intestinal cramping. Try feeding the dose you were going to take to your husband for a demonstration. Since biology is squishy, cramping in the neighborhood can jump-start contractions, but only if you're otherwise ready. Under the same rule, a nice vaginal orgasm can also jump-start contractions, and that sounds a lot more pleasant to me. Hee hee!
In my case they stripped my membranes again yesterday, and while it caused the contractions to become stronger, in the end I guess I wasn't ready. Nothing will work if my uterus isn't ready. :p
