Saving it for What?

A semi-clueless computer user just told me that because she saves every single file to her EHD, she is saving her RAM and her computer is nice and fast. She knows this because she checks it. I'm positive she's looking at the properties you can see when you right click My Computer. You can find out what your processor speed is and you can find out

I hadn't seen the more detailed report, just some type of little blurb about the case. Very interesting. Similar abilities lie in the hands of the maintenance team of any major building, especially one with boilers. If the engineers wanted to shut down the building, they easily could. It wouldn't take down a network throughout the city, but it would definitely do significant damage.
