i just made a very large investment in my future.

that's right, folks. i purchased a bento box. bento system?
it's not cute, with hello kitty all over it, nor is it shaped
like a rabbit, or a frog. this is a no frills bento box. see?

it's pretty cool. i used to use it a lot a year or so ago, but i've gotten lazy and haven't used it in a while. i need to break it out again, because it was so fun to eat out of it. i have a quicky miso soup recipe i used to make in it a lot, and also a bean salad recipe.

I started taking my lunch to work in a non-bento box and I've already dropped a few pounds not to mention saved some money. I'm only managing 2-3 times a week because sometimes you just have to get out of the office.

A flickr contact of mine is into bento boxes BIG time and I look at all these crazy things she makes and get all jealous and feeling inferior. I like getting bento boxes from Teaism, though... I feel like I should get into it. Take pictures of what you make!! :)

whom you ask, the inferior or superior mixer to the
lifestyle-branded, pricy kitchen aid mixer.
