I love the fact that Doris is a little kinder in this story, but that she will still do what she must to protect her daughter. I love that Ashlee feels free to love again, but most of all I love that Rocky is so far gone he can't be with anyone else. You are doing such a great job with this story. I really didn't want this chapter to end. I cannot wait for the next chapter. I know things will only get hotter between Rocky and Ashlee. Awesome job!!!!!--BettyB

I think anyone facing death would be more willing to take stock of what is important. I think that is what Doris is doing in this story and it's what I hope is coming across. *laughing* Rocky is definitely in love with Ashlee and he REALLY is at a complete loss. *grin* I'm so glad you liked the chapter. Thank you so much for your kind words. ***hugs***

I love how Doris is taking the time to think about how Ashlee will react to what she says, before she says it. Her illness has definitely reminded her what's most important and has brought her closer to Ashlee. Poor Rocky, he is head over heels for Ashlee and just can't seem to get her. But I know you and I know you'll get them there, eventually. I'm really loving this story and can't wait for the next installment. Enjoy your day off tomorrow. ***hugs*** Tray

I believe facing what Doris is would make someone more understanding of other people's feelings. Plus I like to believe, had there been actual intelligent writers in the writing room, they would have moved Doris and Ashlee passed the "bad mother/lonely daughter" stage. *laughing* They were starting to last year, but well... *sigh* Poor Rocky is right. The guy turned down a booty call and then got caught with the girl by Ashlee. **hugs him** Thank you for the confidence and the support, Tray. It means everything to me. ***hugs***

It's good to see that Doris hasn't lost her edge even with her illness. Poor Ashlee. I know that being the brillant writer you are, things will turn around for them both. Can't wait to read the next chapter. Loved it!!!

Doris still has that protective streak in her when it comes to her baby girl. *grin* I couldn't take that away. Ashlee finally gets ready to take a chance...*grin* Rocky will just have to work extra hard to make things right. Thank you for the comment hug. **hugs**

Rocky already seems dangerous to Ashlee and now he gets caught with a girl in his bedroom that he didn't even do anything with. Poor Rocky. *laughing* No luck or lovin' so far for him. That will definitely have to change. Next chapter is Monday. *grin* Thanks for the Twinnie love and hugs. **hugs and love**
