Set in the Not Fade Away story-verse, a tale for the holiday season. In winter, Thranduil and two companions spend the night in a stable. Thranduil; Galion; Legolas. Rated PG
Three kings indeed. I love those guys so much the way you write them. Very plausible explanation of that particular story. Legolas is a pefect angel, of course. Lovely Christmas story.
A nice and very intelligent version of the Christmas tale, and how that legend of the Three Kings might have come about. It is great to see more stories set in the NFA universe. I especially loved the first reaction of Thranduil to the sight of the young mother, and also Galion's 'blunder' with Melchior/Melkor. And Thranduil's struggle with the stud camel is quite funny, too. Very nice story, indeed. Thank you for writing and sharing! And happy holidays to you, too. :)
I especially loved the first reaction of Thranduil to the sight of the young mother,
Oh yes -- I knew he'd be reminded of Wulf in Cophetua. But how wrong he's got it!
Usually in the NFA stories it's a clueless Mortal witnessing and misconstruing what she sees. I had fun writing this story because for once it is my elves who are witnessing something they don't understand.

Thank you for noticing this. Thos cloaks were giving me all kinds of logical trouble, and this was just an unexpected afterthought.
Glad you liked this!
