My mother died early this morning. She has been ill for a long time and completely bedridden for over 3 months. I was able to say goodbye to her last night. I am grateful that she is no longer in pain. She is with Jesus. I'm sure my dad met her when she arrived as well ( Read more... )

It is still hard to believe but I broke my ankle on Saturday. I didn't trip over something or fall from some height. Our daughter had her baby today. A lovely 9 lb 8.5oz, 21 inches long girl. Surprising for us all is her dark, thick curly hair. Okay, so the curly isn't such a surprise, but the dark hair is. Okay don't faint! I couldn't wait to tell you all the news. K's baby is a GIRL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She just had an ultrasound and found out today. What a great Christmas gift to know this early. I can't wait to be able to make little girlie things. I'll post pictures once I do.  I am so excited.

In the US when someone moves to a new place, they are able to put in a change of address form which allows for  mail addressed to the old address be forwarded to the new one for a certain period of time. Is that possible in Germany? I've lost track of a friend in Germany and email isn't reaching them. So I that about mailing to the old address.
