I read that post, and it made me look at Padme in a completely different way. It's funny, cause I interpreted her death completely different in the fanfic I'm writing, but I really like her interpretation of it.

I did really enjoy the queen/pawn/Luke analogy. And even though I'd easily tied her death to Anakin's birth, I hadn't tied her fade from power with that of the Republic.

However, taken in that light, I find it hard to put her with Bail and Mon Mothma as an instigator in what would become the Rebel Alliance. Yes, it's a deleted scene, but combining the finished film with this essay...Padmé didn't have the fire left in her to carry out such a thing. I personally put the Rebellion more on Bail (and Mon) anyway. That whole, "And so it is." line totally does it for me. :)

I'm still somewhat peeved by her character arc, though.
