It must be an amazing sign of good luck with this job since I got boxset of the series that has been dormant for over a decade! I immediately went to my Best Buy right after work to shell out 50-

My boxset ought to be arriving on Saturday, so I'll have to wait. Knowing me I'll get it, unwrap it, stare at it and then say: "I must save you!" And then put off watching it like it's a delicious treat.

I shouldn't do that this time though...

I knew Filia wouldn't be in it, so I'm just pleased as punch that the nickname lives on!

I'm glad I'm not the only one that actually liked David Moo's evil used-car salesman voice. I'll have to see what I think of the new guy myself.

Alright! I fellow Moo-luver!! I actually love both voices just for different reason. BUT David Moo's insane witch cackle that was added in the Try dub solidified my love for the actor ^__^

I look forward to reading your thoughts on it. Ah, filia's words still stir up xellos's emotions even after all this time. Come to think of it I wonder how much time passed in the series from slayers try to revolution? I think it might be 3 or 4 months give or take but I can't be sure.

The cackle is pure win. I always point to that scene and say "even if you don't like the way his voice sounds. You've got to admit he's a good actor."

Also WRT Xellia....I LOVED the namagomi comment (I thought he seemed very bothered but more because of the SOURCE of the nickname than the nickname itself >XD ) as well as his reaction, and I loved seeing Filia and Xelloss in the same places for the protagonist and antagonist eyecatchers in the series finale XDDDD as well as the opening acknowledging Valgaav/Val did and does exist lol.
My friend bookwyrm-wytch thinks Xelloss was so eager to rescue everyone from Ghost!Shabs in the end because his experience with saving the world with Filia rubbed off on him =DDDDD

YES! I couldn't believe Lina pulled out THE insult. XD Or "insult" lol. We all know Xellos doesn't care -- as long as Filia is the one who says it.

Only the one and only FILIA can have the great privilege of invoking those emotions to the surface in xellos.

I still wish that the english dub translated what xellos and filia were argueing about in the the town forbidden to dragons episode. It was a quick but funny scene of xellos yelling AND asking filia a question. We know that xellos usually knows what's going on most of the time but he couldn't understand how and why filia came up with the insult of raw garbage. I had to turn up my tv real loud but the scene occurs in the background when amelia is saying how 'their like mixing oil and water'.

I believe the actual words were:

Filia: No Mazoku is going to trick me THAT easily.
X: Oh?! You're just going to dismiss me out of hand?

Filia> Raw garbage like you have no sense of direction!

Xellos> Raw garbage? Why raw garbage? WHERE THE HELL DO YOU GET RAW GARBAGE FROM?!

I know what you mean -- I was hoping maybe, maaaybe, Filia might have at least a small cameo somewhere in the series, but alas. D: It's sad that we probably won't see her again in the anime but at least we will always have Try to give us a Xel/Filia boost when we need it. <3

Yeah we might not see her again but I don't want to lose hope just yet. Syphiel appeared in the recent series and from what I understand from all the japanese slayers fansites that have sprouted up it seems to have been rather popular. Plus filia was more of a main character in TRY than the actual main character so if they want to make more money thay might make another season. Actually that is probably why so many fans didn't like it. I think that's why they won't do the last plot of the novels. If they animated those then that would really mean that they couldn't ressurect the series again (or it would be difficult)

That's a shame really, because they could always pick up from where the novels left off if they wanted to continue with another series after that. Zelas, Dolphin and Dynast are still alive and there are more fragments of Ruby Eye to be found/destroyed -- nothing says they can't build off of that. Or add existing anime-only characters into the mix. There are several opportunities that I can see for Filia to find her way into an anime adaptation of novels 9 - 15. *shrug* I don't know -- it's late and my brain is mushy but I can see it. :p

That's very true ^^ Adding filia and xellos in the mix for the novel storylines would make them tons better. I'm not only saying that as a xelfi fan but also as a realist. Xellos is obviously a fan-favorite ever since he showed up in Next. I think that's why they had xellos in rev/evo-r. To have a scenario of fighting shabby just with the slayers gang plus xellos in the mix. Filia was also a very popular character in japan. I found a magazine scan for the results for a popularity contest (poll) on who is the better heroine? Filia or lina? Filia won that hands down
