Right, so I was doing great on my SO3 game till tonight. Yesterday, I accidentally knocked the PS2 while doing the bunny races, the game continued as normal and nothing seemed wrong, though when I took the disc out to examine it, there were a few minor scratches on it that weren't there before. And as to your question, try one of the Preplayed or buy/sell media stores around you. They usually have resurfacers. When my copy of FFVIII was cashed in the middle of the Dollet stuff we resurfaced it and it would load past that point again.

Yeah, it comes out Sept. 18th, I believe. It's a limited edition, by which I mean Atlus is only making a certain number of copies before it goes out of print forever. So grab it while you can! Also, it's coming with a crap load of extras.

I ended up doing just that earlier. The resurfacing cost a little under three bucks, which was more than worth it be able to keep playing one of my favorite games.
