So here's some photos from the Farmer's Market in September when the 4-H kids brought their animals. Mom decided not to come, then 2.5 hours later called me and said she was coming after all. So we got there late, but right as they were unloading the horses, so just in time in my eyes. Though Mom was more concerned with parking than avoiding small ( Read more... )

I thought she'd get your attention. :)
How big was Argent? Rachel's 14.3 at best, so that mare was a giant to me. Her head was longer than my torso.

I appreciate draft horses a lot more now than I did when I was young. *covers Rachel's ears* They are awesome, and I love the action of the Clydesdales. I tried to get Mom to go look at a pinto Shire last time we were searching for a horse, but she didn't want to have to feed a horse that big. Plus, I don't think he'd fit in our barn.

If I ever get my own farm, I might try farming with good old horsepower. I was told by some Amish people and old timers that horses are still faster and more precise, and you can't teach a tractor not to step on your crops.

Guinea pigs don't bite unless they are very, very pissed off or being severely threatened. They're timid (prey) animals. They can be held and cuddled, though with mine I've never felt they exactly enjoyed it, more like endured it :) Further in on guinea pigs, just ask.

I used to have rabbits, and I don't think we ever handled them enough when they were little. But they would squeak happily when you brought them food or treats, and they would always want to touch noses with the dog. We also had a rat. He kept learning how to open his enclosure, but he'd come when you called him. I was allergic to him.

For guinea pigs--just how big an area would you need for them? What kind of bedding?

Reiki can stop bleeding?

I told Mom about you doing treatments on my foot and she scoffed. She lives in a closed little world. *shrugs*
