I don't get excessive bannings in certain LJ communities. I understand asking people to be respectful to a certain point, but even in the real world people are complete and total douches to other people. Why do you have to cry and go, "ONOZ SOMEONE WAS MEAN ON THE INTERNET!" and ban anyone who doesn't kiss the poster's ass ( Read more... )

heh this reminds me of a while back in... I forget which community (Roleplayers, maybe), the mod threatened to ban people that didn't treat the constant troll posts as serious important topics of polite conversation. Saying "Go away troll" was BAN, etc. I lol'd

One of my professors was severely dyslexic and he teaches about six Art History courses every semester and can read and write properly.

Since online or in writing is the only place I can sound REMOTELY coherent, I try to make my spelling and grammar as aesthetically pleasing as possible.

And I admit that, while I may not post, when I see something that looks like someone slammed their head against the keyboard repeatedly, I roll my eyes and move on without glancing at it.
