I miss you Dad.  A day doesn't go by when I don't think of you. I love you.

Today I said good bye to an old friend.  She came to me a little over 15yrs ago and has been by my side ever since.  A road trip wasn't a road trip without her in the passenger seat. We've laughed toghether, cried together, rejoiced and mourned together.  I miss my friend.  I miss her so much.

Today a gunman - a 20 yr old man - killed 6 people and wounded several others.  His target was an Arizona politican.  Not long ago her opponents held a fund raiser.  The fundraiser - "Republican challenger Jesse Kelly held fundraisers where he urged supporters to help remove Giffords from office by joining him to shoot a fully loaded M-16 rifle. I  keep getting this screen that tells me I'll be returned to LJ as soon as the ad is done.  I immediately click the little 'x' and am sent directly to LJ.  Do they really think anyone doesn't click the 'x' and instead opts to watch their annoying ad?  Really?

I have a date tonight.  Well... not really sure it's a "date".  I'm having dinner with a woman I was introduced to by a mutual friend who thinks we would get along...  Is that a date?

Wow.  It's hard to believe it's been nearly two years since I posted.  On the other hand... it feels like a life time ago.

Happy new year everyone. I don't know what the future holds - but here's to a kickass 2011.

I just finished watching the inauguration of Barack Obama.  I am once again proud to be an American.  Once again I have hope for the future of this country and the world. 

It's interesting how quickly life can change, you know?  Today, no this afternoon, I found out I no longer have job.   I'm not sure how I feel about it.   I'm kind of okay and a little bit panicked.  Good thing I have a van I guess, right?

Life is about to get very very interesting.
