Agreed. I think the central reason was that Season Six returned the focus to Shawn/Gus, which had always been the heart and soul of the series. Far too much of Season Five was dedicated to Shawn/Jules, which wasn't even a B-plot dynamic in earlier seasons, even at the expense of Shawn/Gus screentime, especially in the middle of the season. Season Six wasn't perfect--e.g., I would have liked the Shawn&Henry interaction spaced out better across the season, intead of crammed into the final episode, but it had a metric ton's worth of improvement over Season Five.
It didn't exactly end the way I hoped it would. I really want Juliet to find out about Shawn, because I don't like that she's dating someone who is lying to her every single day. They need to address it and deal with what happens next.
I did my own rant on why and how much the lack of reveal is bothering me at this point and comparing it to the Season Four finale of Merlin and that show's equally frustrating lack of reveal. [/

I also agree with everything you wrote about Community, but I never know what else to add about that series besides "Perfect Show is Perfect."
