Oh my god if they make Tora dark and gritty I will punch someone. I can't wait till the fans who grew up with the JLI get in charge and decide to change everything to what they remember. (Bitter? Naaaahhhh.) DC Comics: A bunch of mindless jerks who will be first against the wall when the revolution comes!
Didn't Captain Atom turn evil or something? I can't even keep track. Nor can he, hence why he was all "fuck it, I'm coming too!"
Y'know, I really hate those 75 Years of the Hero Getting the Girl ads. Psh,heroes are men, silly! (I'm sure Renee Montoya approves, though...) No no, that's not what the ads are about - comic book buyers are men, silly! :V
Ebony fails MASH forever And the First Wave previews had me so dreading misutilized tropes - but no, she's not sassy, she's snarky! Yay for snarky straight-girl/kook-in-sexy-clothes duos! ♥
White Canary (in the outlet by the lightswitch) Don't forget the Internet's also put odds on her being Sin. REALITY SHOW LIGHTHOUSE CREW STILL NEEDS TO HAPPEN
No no, that's not what the ads are about - comic book buyers are men, silly! :V But--but--CAN'T THE FEMALE HERO GET THE GUY I'M SURE MALE COMIC BOOK READERS WOULD LIKE TO HAVE SEX WITH THE FEMALE HEROES HRNGH
...huh, just remembered the word heroine existed.

White Canary (in the outlet by the lightswitch) asdfdsfasf ♥
I think, by now, we exist solely as temporally and spatially displaced versions of each other to warn each other about comics. But what does that do to the lesyay
DON'T BE SILLY OUR AUDIENCE IS TOO STUPID TO IDENTIFY WITH CHARACTERS WHO AREN'T EXACTLY LIKE THEM. ALSO NONE OF OUR AUDIENCE IS FEMALE, HAVE CHILDREN, OR WERE BORN IN LIKE, HONG KONG OR SOMETHING
Yes, Jurgens knew of the importance of showing the Carter abs. See, I think Rip is really more snarker than he lets on. I mean come on, he was raised by Booster and Skeets, how could he not be? Part of his cover is not letting on that he has daddys' humor. I still think that Skeets reads more like L-Ron than himself.
Stupid evil sexy Max. But yeah, the homoerotic vibes Max sent off were strong. Wow. At one point I thought he was going to take Booster with him while he plotted to take over the world.
The description of Booster and the "Max wasn't always bad" stuff at the beginning sold me on getting this.
I'm not sure why everyone is talking about "emo Ice" it was just one page. Didn't she already tell Guy that dying messed her up some so she needed space? Makes sense that returning would bring those feelings back. Other than showing up for a couple of battles she's been out of the picture. I think she needs to connect with people she cares about to bring her back some.

I still think that Skeets reads more like L-Ron than himself. Yeah, I think that's the part that really threw me off.
I'm not sure why everyone is talking about "emo Ice" it was just one page. It makes a whole lot of sense that dying and Blackest Night would affect Ice like that, but I'm just a little oversensitive to DC taking every lighthearted/happy/innocent character and making them more 'realistic' by making them unhappy and sarcastic. (Or evil--I'm looking at you, Mary Marvel and apparently Osiris!) I am glad to see her have something to do, especially away from Guy (as much as I love Guy/Tora).
